Nathan Medrano

Nathan Medrano is a 16 year old sophomore at Valley Christian High School from Gilroy, CA. He has an older sister, Kayla, and a younger brother, Quentin. Nathan is a scholar athlete and has been working hard on and off the field maintaining a 3.6 GPA; his favorite subject is Chemistry.  He has been playing baseball since the age of 4 and one of his most memorable moments was pitching a no hitter in Cooperstown, NY at the age of 10. When Nathan is not playing baseball or studying he enjoys giving back to the youth of our community and helping them with baseball fundamentals. Nathan's future plans are to attend college, play baseball, and study Kinesiology.

Zach Zamborelli

Zach is a junior at Valley Christina High School. HE has been playing baseball since he was 4 years old with Almaden Little League. Zach plays on the Varsity team, as a left handed pitcher, at Valley Christina for Coach John Diatte. He is also on the Varsity Water Polo team at Valley and loves the conditioning her received from being in the pool. Along with High Shool ball, Zach plays with Cesario Baseball and CCB in the summer, fall and winter and, for several years in the past, has played for Trosky and Kali baseball at South Bay Training. Zach is very excited to have the opportunity to go to China and play baseball while touring all of Beijing's amazingly, historic sites.

Robert Jeffrey

Robert started playing baseball when he was 4 years old through the PONY Baseball program in Morgan Hill, California. He has played with several travel teams in the bay area consistently since then. Primarily playing as a pitcher (left handed), he also plays outfield and first base. He enjoys playing baseball and building relationships with other players.  

 

Joey Diatte

Joe is a junior at Valley Christian High School and has been attending Valley Christian Schools, in San Jose California, since Kindergarten. He has been playing baseball since he could even start walking, alongside his father Coach John Diatte on the Warriors field. Father, John Diatte has been coaching at Valley Christian for about 27 years and Joe has been a part of many of the several CCS and WCAL championships won by the Warriors, as a bat boy. Joe loves the sport of baseball and is a hardworking and dedicated young man ready to take on anything that is in his way. As a part of the Warrior baseball program at Valley Christian, Joe started as a shortstop on the freshmen team and as a sophomore moved back and forth from the junior-varsity and varsity squads. This year, he has had a couple starts at second base on the varsity level as a junior, and is ready for any opportunity that comes his way. Along with High School ball, Joe is a part of the Kali and Trosky baseball Summer, Fall, and Winter programs at South Bay Sports Training. His father John Diatte, is also joining him on the trip to China as a coach. His mother Susan and sister Brittany will be proudly cheering him on back in the states. Joe is a hard working and scrappy player who is ready to get on base and help the team in any way he can.

Brandon Nguyen

Brandon started playing baseball when he was 5 years old through North Valley Little League Baseball program in San Jose, California. He has played with several travel ball teams like the Fremont Wicked and the NorCal Naturals in the bay area since then.  He is now playing for a travel ball team called TKB Baseball as a first and third baseman. TKB Baseball was created by his own father Tuan Nguyen.  Brandon is playing baseball at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, primarily playing as a first baseman.  He really enjoys playing baseball and building relationships with other players.  Brandon is really looking forward to playing baseball in China with his friends and teammates.

Patrick Wicklander

Patrick Wicklander is currently a sophomore at Valley Christian High School.  He is a starting left handed pitcher and 1st baseman for the Varsity baseball team.  He started his baseball career with Blossom Valley PONY Baseball in San Jose, CA.  He has played on numerous all-star and travel ball teams including:  BV Bulldogs, Sierra Valley Storm, Trosky, Kali, Silicon Valley Storm, Soldiers and Phenom.  He has traveled extensively across the country to play the sport he loves, and is constantly working hard to improve his craft.  He is currently committed to Dallas Baptist University (DBU) in Dallas, Texas.
